Large Group Or Bulk Produce Orders?

If you are an agency or community organization looking to place a large group order or purchase produce in bulk, please contact cdc@cdcquinte.com or 613-968-2466.

Established in 1995, the Good Food Box (GFB) Program provides fresh, healthy and nutritious fruits and vegetable to hundreds of individuals and families each year. For a nominal fee, participants pay for a Good Food Box in the first week of the month. The box is packed through our main office located in Belleville and shipped to depots throughout Hastings & Prince Edward Counties. Delivered during the third week of the month, the GFB helps families stretch their food dollar, reduce their food costs and meet the nutritional needs of themselves and family members.

What is the Good Food Box?
The Good Food Box Program offers fresh, healthy, nutritious fruits and vegetables at a fraction of the retail cost. The boxes are available monthly, are packed in Belleville and shipped to Depots throughout Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.
How do I participate?
The good Food Bags are available throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties at many participating depots. Please see Service provider calendar (above) for depot contact details and dates, or call the CDC office at 613-968-2466 or e-mail gfb@cdcquinte.com for more info. Please contact your nearest depot for payment options. Note: Belleville-CDC, Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre and Trenton Quinte West Community Health Centre offer On-Line payment-see above for more details, as well as cash or debit.
How much does it cost?
There are two options to choose from:

$10.00 Good Food Vegetable Bag offers a wide variety of vegetables and is suitable for households of one or two people.

$5.00 Fruit Bag has a selection of various fruits and is a great “add on” to the Vegetable Bag or on its’ own!

What is in the box?
The contents of the box changes each month according to what is in season and what we can get the best deal on.
Can anyone participate?
Yes! Anyone can buy a Good Food Box and there are no limits to how many you can buy!
How much money can I save?
We compared the price of the $15.00 Large Good Food Box at three  Belleville grocery stores. The average retail cost of the large box was$33.57.

We compared the price of the same box at a rural grocery store and the cost was $40.30.

As you can see the savings are substantial!

*Produce varies each month depending on season and cost.
