Purpose
The Belleville Charitable Meal Providers Network is a group of agencies that either coordinate community food programs or support those programs, and who meet regularly to share information and coordinate efforts when appropriate.
Mission
The Network will maintain a consistent and effective response to emergency food needs in Belleville and stand as a united front to advocate for more effective solutions to food insecurity.
Vision
The Network envisions a strongly supported Belleville community that is food secure.
Goals
- Execute bi-annual network meetings. (Spring and Fall.)
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of network needs and community resources.
- Build relationships amongst and outside of network.
- Develop a public communications strategy that garners community support and reduces stigma.
- Develop a cohesive agenda and unified talking points for approaching politicians and influencers about food insecurity and poverty.
- Establish research to better understand the needs of our food insecure populations.
