Our Vision: A community in which all members have consistent access to safe, affordable and nutritious food.
Since 1989, we have been identifying urgent and emerging social issues while providing programs and services that positively impact individuals' quality of life and health.
The overarching goal of the Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC Quinte) is to be a recognizable and visible presence in the community that identifies urgent and emerging social issues, while providing programs and services that positively impact the quality of life and health of individuals.
We believe that food is a human right. With this in mind, our dedication to community development is through a Food First approach.
We deliver to your community!
The Good Food Box delivers throughout Hastings and Prince Edward County! This allows you to access fresh, nutritious and affordable fruits and veggies in your community! CDC-Quinte prides itself on the availability of fruit bags for only $5, and vegetable bags for $10, which is $14 less then the same produce at local grocery stores. Anyone can access this program!
Program delivery also looks like the 13 depots throughout Hastings and Prince Edward County that distribute The Good Baby Box. This allows access of new families access to diapers, wipes, as well as, infant formula, when available, at a $10 savings to families. 6,099 families were helped last year alone due to this program.

Want access to grow your own produce? CDC-Quinte has 159 community gardens at 9 different locations throughout Belleville and Quinte West. Individuals can access these gardens from May to October. Anyone is welcome to register!
