CHAMPS Network

  • Mission

    The Network will maintain a consistent and effective response to emergency food needs in Belleville and stand as a united front to advocate for more effective solutions to food insecurity.

  • Purpose

    The Belleville Charitable Meal Providers Network is a group of agencies that either coordinate community food programs or support those programs, and who meet regularly to share information and coordinate efforts when appropriate.

  • Vision

    The Network envisions a strongly supported Belleville community that is food secure.

Goals

  1. Execute bi-annual network meetings. (Spring and Fall)

  2. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of network needs and community resources.

  3. Build relationships amongst and outside of network.

  4. Develop a public communications strategy that garners community support and reduces stigma.

  5. Develop a cohesive agenda and unified talking points for approaching politicians and influencers about food insecurity and poverty.

  6. Establish research to better understand the needs of our food insecure populations.
