The Good Food Box Program offers fresh, healthy, nutritious fruits and vegetables at a fraction of the retail cost.

The boxes are available monthly and are available throughout Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

Each box is suitable for households of one or two people.  There are no limits to how many you can purchase.

The Fruit Bag has a selection of various fruits.

The Good Food Box offers a wide variety of vegetables.

2.5 lb Potatoes, 2 lb Carrots, 1 lb Onions, 2 Sweet Potatoes, 1 Pkg

Mushrooms, 1 Iceberg Lettuce, 1 Zucchini, 1 bunch of Green Onions, 1 Hot House Tomato, 1 Green pepper

  • The Good Food Box Program offers fresh, healthy, nutritious fruits and vegetables at a fraction of the retail cost. The boxes are available monthly; they are packed in Belleville and shipped to Depots throughout Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.

  • The Good Food Boxes are available throughout Hastings and Prince Edward County at many participating depots. ( see locations ) for the depot nearest you. To order the good food box online, click here. For in-person orders, contact your nearest depot.

  • Yes! Anyone living in Hastings and Prince Edward County can participate in the Good Food Box Program.

  • We compared the price of the $10 Vegetable Box at three Belleville grocery stores. The average retail cost of the Vegetable Box was over $18. We compared the price of the same box at a rural grocery store, and the cost was over $26

    As you can see the savings are substantial!

  • Yes, you can order in person up to one week before the deadline for your location. All orders in person (except for CDC Quinte Offices) must be made in cash.

In Person Ordering

Orders can be placed based on the pick up location. Orders in person must be made in cash no later than the Tuesday before pick up.

In person ordering is only for the Good Food Box items.
